Langston is a pathologist. His father was a decorated soldier in the Korean War and was very violent during his childhood, which disturbs today. He wrote a book about his experiences, which was read by Grissom and also by Dr. Tom Loman (CSI: Miami). Langston becomes a university professor, and through this team of CSIs Grissom comes in contact with him while they were investigating a series of murders of a serial killer, Nate Haskell. At the end of the case, Grissom leaves the police and leaves office at the disposal of Langston. His first appearance was in episode 09 x 09, 19 Down. He received a cool reception from David Hodges, who was still unhappy with the departure of Grissom. His early days working as a CSI were a bit difficult, as is shown in the 09 x 11. Enfim em "Bala perdida - parte 2" ela é inocentada e Brass foi o culpado pela a morte do policial novato. Na 7ª temporada ela é colocada como personagem principal e aparece nos créditos de abertura . Sua ultima aparição como personagem recorrente foi em Dead Dolls na 8ª temporada e sai sem motivos aparentes. Atualmente na 11ª temporada Curtis volta para partipações especiais, agora não mais como Detetive, mas sim como sub-xerife de Nova Iorque deixando todos impressionados. David Hodges
Hodges, um técnico de laboratório formado pela Williams College, foi transferido do laborátorio de criminalística de Los Angeles para o de Las Vegas. Como CSI é uma série de investigação, e é, de certo modo, séria, os produtores decidiram criar um personagem mais cômico.
